Bumpdate Week 21!!

Hi Everyone!

As of Wednesday, we are 21 weeks pregnant!! We are past the half way point! It's been awhile since I've done an update on the bump and the pregnancy, so here we go....

Update on Mom and Dad

Dave and I are officially moved to Baltimore, Maryland and working on getting settled. We have a room ready to be decorated and set up as baby's nursery, but it's going to be a couple more weeks until I can focus on getting that ready. Dave's back managing and I've been splitting time in the restaurant business and making money from home in my cozy clothes 😌 Dave still has a crazy schedule, but that's the nature of the business! The doggo is definitely having a hard time adjusting to the city life, but he'll get there! We are just SUPER ready to feel settled in. Dave and I have our gym membership back 🙌🏻 (which I didn't think I would be using as much)-- but now that I'm able to work from home, we've been able to find time to go to the gym together. Getting up and being active has definitely made a huge difference in the rest of my day!

Update on the baby bump:

Baby has definitely been growing AND moving around like crazy! My bump is growing everyday and I'm slowly growing out of EVERYTHING I own. From the last update, we did find out that we're having a BOY 💙He's been giving mama some nice strong kicks this week. Feeling him wiggle is one of my favorite things 🥰 It feels so real! We're having a baby!! It's SO amazing to think that my body is capable of protecting and nurturing him until he's ready to come out! We are definitely blessed!

Tuesday I'll hit 22 weeks, but at 21 weeks he's the size of Bok Choy-- or a banana-- based on which app you look at. We had an anatomy scan at week 19 and everything is looking healthy and normal! Within the next two weeks, we're having an echo done for them to look closer at the baby's heart due to Dave's history and my current health. Hopefully everything looks normal and we don't have to follow up 🤞🏼

Naming baby boy:

We've bounced around a couple names including David Carl Pollitt III (Dave is a Jr. and we thought about passing the name on). It's an intimidating process! We think we know what we're going to do, but won't officially commit and announce until closer to the due date.

Baby boy's nursery:

Although I haven't started putting the nursery together, I did decide on colors and a theme. I definitely want little boy's nursery theme to be elephants and mostly white/ grey with pops of blue. I've been pinteresting like crazy. I'll be making a ton of stops to HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, and Hobby Lobby.
